How many employees do you have?

What is a PEO?

Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs) enable clients to cost-effectively outsource the management of human resources, employee benefits, payroll and workers' compensation. It is often known as employee leasing. Outsourcing functions such as payroll processing, government compliance, workers' compensation protection, and benefits administration allows you to keep your current employees without the administrative hassles. We take care of your human resource and payroll needs while you take care of your business.

The Professional Employer Organization industry is growing at a rate of 30% per year. According to the U.S. Department of Labor Statistics, by the year 2020 more than half of American employees will be employed by PEOs.

Who maintains direction and control of my employees?

In a service agreement with a PEO, a co-employment relationship is created. As the worksite employer, you maintain direction and control of the employee including hiring, firing, schedules and day-to-day management.

Who is responsible for the employees' employment taxes?

Much of the responsibility and liability is assumed by the PEO, thus lowering your risk. During the payroll process, taxes are withheld according to current tax rates and laws. SimpleHR then processes and remits withholding taxes, FICA, FUTA, and reemployment tax in compliance with the rules and regulations governing the reporting and payment of federal, state, local and other taxes based on employee wages.
